The Tibetan Buddhist Monks of the Gaden Shartse Monastery (Phukhang) will be in a week-long residency at the Lincoln City Cultural Center this February as part of their six-month 2026 tour of Oregon and the U.S. which also includes week-long residencies in Yachats (Feb. 17-22) and Newport (Feb. 24-Mar. 1), as well. The monks will be creating a different sacred Sand Mandala in each location, in addition to giving public talks on Tibet and Tibetan Buddhism, various workshops (including some for families and children!), cultural presentations, and more.
