About this Event

Well known as a concert work, the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré was originally written for use as part of the liturgy of the Mass. Our annual performance by the professional Chapel Choir and instrumentalists sets it in the context of the Sung Eucharist as intended. The service starts with a short ceremony of Remembrance and includes readings and hymns. The celebrant and preacher is Fr Stephen Coleman, Priest-in-Charge of Grosvenor Chapel, the Director of Music is Richard Hobson. The service is followed by refreshments.
