Come join us for an evening of the amazing comic illustrations of GABO. He will be performing a live demonstration during the event, he encourages other artist to bring their sketchbooks and join him in an ART JAM. More about the artist:
GABO is a Mexican-American illustrator whose impressive client roster includes industry giants like DC Comics, Image, Oni Press, Whiz Kids, and Webtoon. A recipient of both Eisner and Harvey awards, he was also honored with a nomination for the prestigious 2015 Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award. GABO is passionate about working with watercolors and gouache, often sketching with fountain pens to bring his ideas to life. He thrives on creating imaginative artwork, specializing in robots, sci-fi, and fantasy themes, always aiming to draw things no one has seen before.
Art on the Bend in located in the Rustbelt common area in East Moline IL. Snacks will be provided, and beverages will be available for purchase next door at Midwest Ale Works.
Art on the Bend hosts a new local artist each month and has their gallery exhibition the 2nd Thursday of the month. Events are always 6pm - 9pm.
