Did someone say, “Pop Art”? Bold, graphic, and instantly recognizable, Pop Art draws its inspiration from popular culture and mass media — celebrity imagery, comic strips, everyday objects, and iconic visuals. With its strong lines, vibrant colour, and repetition, Pop Art is perfectly suited to computer-generated imagery and silk-screen printing on glass. In this intensive two-day workshop, participants will explore the complete silk-screen process for fused glass. Day one focuses on image preparation and screen creation, while day two brings those images to life through printing and firing on 96 COE glass.
Participants will:
– Adapt digital images using familiar computer programs
– Transfer artwork onto six silk screens (yours to keep)
– Learn to work with transparencies, emulsified screens, and black light exposure
– Print images onto clear glass using Bullseye Color Line Paints
– Prepare finished pieces for firing
