The roaring 2022 speakeasy-inspired bar boom reverberates apace this week with the opening of Dom (styled as DOM) a subterranean cocktail lounge in Gramercy.

“Looking towards tomorrow as well as paying tribute to yesterday, DOM will reference the clubs of the Rat Pack age with Frank, Dean and Sammy being played on the Hi-Fi, and people dressing for a night out in the greatest city in the world,” a press release reads.

The “retro-future” space, replete with high ceilings and fancy furnishings intended to evoke “the image of a modern age La Dolce Vita lifestyle” seats 50, exclusive of a private tasting room. Art programming across various mediums is planned for a gallery space and exhibition wall.

Dom’s opening cocktail menu is divided into the categories Health and Beauty, Pain Killers, Stress Relievers, Aphrodisiacs, Pharmaceuticals, Stimulants and Euphoric Enhancers. Many drinks incorporate liqueurs like walnut elderberry from owner Albert Trummer’s own eponymous line. The cognac-flavored cigar leaves in the barrel-aged negroni (a Pain Killer), and unspecified herbs from the South of France in the large-format house absinthe (a Euphoric Enhancer) are among other noteworthy ingredients. Trummer’s previous ventures include the ultimately headline making Apothéke.

Snacks like cheese, charcuterie, oysters and caviar will also be available. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are also theoretically welcome.

Dom is located at 287 Park Avenue South. The entrance is on 22nd Street.

Tommaso Conforti

A vinyl selector from Florence, he's currently settled in the

birthplace of House Music, Chicago. He's dug through every

crate that has passed through his hands to add to his record

collection. His DJ sets are eclectic and musical, combining

house, jazz-funk, disco, techno, and other global sounds

Based in New York, Tony Deep Disco is an audiophile vinyl DJ, music curator and an event producer.

Tony's love of music began in his home city of Buenos Aires.

These days you can find Tony reaching out to the world via his

many radio show contributions (monthly on Loose Fm - London,

Radio Deep - Switzerland) and his own live stream channel -

Discotheque NYC on Twitch.

Tony takes his inspiration from the early days of NYC nightlife -

The Gallery. He seemlessly blends his love of fashion, art and

music with each set and show.

Tony collaborates often with fine artists and is the founder of

Neon Soul Dance Party 3D Art Experience.

He has performed in multiples venues like TBA Brooklyn, Jupiter

Disco, Sultan Room, The Woods BK, Gitano NYC, Public Hotels,

Soho House New York, Sixty Soho ( Butterfly Room), Sixty Les

(Make Believe), The Rumpus Room NYC, and Studio 151.

At the present he holds residencies at The Williamsburg Hotel, Mono + Mono NYC and Dom Lounge.

At The Williamsburg Hotel he performs regularly at The Water

Tower Bar, The Rooftop Pool and The Lobby Bar.

He also held a residency as a Dj, Music Curator and Event

Planner @Lot45Bushwick from 8/1/2020 until 9/12/021.
