About this Event
Join us on Saturday, November 23rd, from 8:30 am -12:00 pm for a guided hike at the Chinsegut Conservation Center. We will bird the short trails around the center then, if time permits, can drive a short way down the road to the Big Pine tract of Chinsegut WEA. This will be a fantastic time to see fall wildflowers, as well as appreciate the majestic long leaf pines. We plan to walk the 1.3 mile Longleaf Loop and possibly more, depending on time and the wishes of those who participate. All trails are unpaved, over sometimes sandy and uneven terrain.
A digital copy of Big Pine's trail guide can be found at the link below. Physical copies are available at the entrance kiosk.

This is a great place to see lots of Red-headed Woodpeckers and other resident and fall migrants.
