EXTRA EYES are the most helpful tool when participating in a bird count. Not knowledge of bird species.
The Fort Worth CBC area is centered NW of downtown Fort Worth in White Settlement. The resulting 15-mile diameter circle allows teams to look for birds on the south shore of Eagle Mountain Lake, the north shore of Lake Benbrook, the grassland prairie on ranches near the Parker county line, and the many city parks in downtown Fort Worth.
