Fvzz Popvli (ITA)Auf den ersten Hör könnte man die Italiener FVZZ POPVLI schnöde als schön räudige, aber auch etwas generische Stoner-/Fuzz-Rock-Combo abtun, die durchaus ein bisschen an BLACK RAINBOWS und solche Genrehighlights erinnert.
Interessanterweise kann das Album "Melting Pop" in seiner Gesamtheit aber noch viel mehr. Nach dem räudigen, nach trockenem Wüstensand schmeckenden Auftakt kommt dieses wunderbar schmissige Gegniedel doch etwas überraschend. Zumal es sich nicht als Eintagsfliege entpuppt, denn auch wenn das dumpfe Dröhnen mit 'Kommando' zurückkehrt, kommt nun viel mehr Psychedelic Rock zum Tragen. Auch das zelebrieren die Italiener in wunderbarer Manier. FVZZ POPVLI beherrscht alle Abschweifungen links und rechts dieses Stils aus dem Effeff, wie es scheint, auch schlürfend-doomig.
