About this Event
FUZION showcases the versatility of Monét Movement Productions: The Collective’s repertory through the dancing bodies of ‘The Collective’. In collaboration with Brown Sugar Lit, new works will be premiered bringing together dance and original spoken word. Through contemporary, modern, Caribbean contemporary & Afro-Caribbean dance, we display a FUZION of styles, cultures and stories. Our dynamic repertory explores the themes of identity, femininity, Black strength, and Black woman liberation. At the heart of our movement is the continued embodiment of liberation, connection to our ancestors, and a collective reclamation of the Caribbean dancing body through joy and resistance.
