Future Tense

We first addressed this theme back in October 2020 at our very first Drawing Room Annex on Mission Street. It was the height of the COVID pandemic and in the midst of a very fraught presidential election. Now, four years later, we’ve asked artists to respond to how they are feeling in this current moment, in a time of yet another contentious and polarizing presidential election, and against the backdrop of serious global conflict, a rise in authoritarian regimes, devastating climate change and the reversal of established civil rights. As you look ahead to the coming year, what do you envision?
