About this Event
Future of Mental Health: Neuromodulation for Depression & Wellness
Join Dr. Baron Short—psychiatrist, brain stimulation practitioner, and co-founder of Zendo—for a powerful evening exploring how cutting-edge brain stimulation is transforming our understanding and treatment of depression.
In case you're not up on your medical lingo, here's the definition of neuromodulation.
Neuromodulation is the process of altering or regulating nervous system activity — either naturally within the body or through medical technology — to influence how neurons communicate.
In simple terms: it’s changing the way your nerves fire to achieve a desired effect.
Dr. Short will give us some education on:
- What is actually happening in the brain during major depression
- Conventional vs. emerging neuromodulation therapies (like TMS and accelerated protocols)
- How neuromodulation is now being applied not only for illness, but for mental wellness and meditation enhancement
He will also introduce Zendo, the world’s first neuromodulation device designed to deepen meditation and calm the nervous system—offering live demos and a guided meditation session to close the evening. A limited number of Zendo headbands will be available for attendees to try during the session.
Whether you’re a mental health professional, meditator, or simply curious about the future of brain wellness, this event is for you.
