About this Event
This panel discussion will bring together Seminole State College humanities scholars Trent Tomengo and Dr. Kathryn Steinhaus, along with biology professor Dr. Debra Socci. This interdisciplinary discussion will explore how humankind's relationship with nature has been reflected in cultural expressions throughout history, with a particular focus on the arts. The scholars will trace the evolution of these narratives, examining how scientific advancements have shaped our understanding and representation of the natural world. This historical perspective will provide valuable context for interpreting Vega's work and understanding our current ecological challenges.
This evening event is presented during our monthly Last Wednesday hours, when we open our gallery free of charge with a cash bar from 5:30-8pm.
