Fusion Belly Dance: samba-belly fusion6 Week Session: 5/30th-7/11th (*no class 7/4th)

We’ve got a new Fusion Belly Dance class coming your way! Like always, I like to blend my belly dance with a little something else-hence the Fusion. This time, we’re fusing the hip work n shimmies of belly dance with samba for some spice n heat in a choreography that you’ll have the option of performing in the 7/23rd Iron Smoke Belly dance show! This class session is a continuation of last session’s choreography, where we will be adding on some finishing touches to what we’ve already worked on. We will also be putting in some new material and fun formation work as well. If we finish out the routine before the class session is over, ill throw in some bonus combos or a fun mini choreo too!
Come to class in whatever clothes you comfortably move in. A bare foot or dancer slipper (no heels) is typical for this class.
No dance experience is required as a break down of the movements and an explanation of the vocabulary used will be given in class. This class is multi-level, I always offer modifications and extra challenges for more advanced students. Each class consists of a basic warm up, a tutorial in the technique, then those techniques get drilled in combinations. Those combos we will string together to make a fully formed choreographed routine. And we always end class with a little lead-and-follow freestyle!
Classes are located at Kinections Studio, 718 University Ave. Classes are Thursday evenings 7-8pm, the session runs from 5/30th-7/11th. Theres no class 7/4th. Registration is $75 for the 6 week session or feel free to drop in on a class for $15. Also, there’s the option to tentatively perform this dance as a class group in the spring show case (more details to come!!!) Cash, Venmo, or check to Leah Camilleri.
