Fusion Arts Oxford Writers Wheel workshop for young writers led by Isabelle Baafi
Everything in life is subject to change, and in this workshop we will explore the theme of transformation in all its various forms, embracing and celebrating change as an integral part of the human experience, and examining depictions of personal, societal, and environmental transformation in poems by Donika Kelly, Aimé Césaire, Nick Makoha, and Shivanee Ramlochan. By discussing and responding to poems of liberation, self-discovery, grief, and hope.
Through the process of imagining and crafting our own, we will think about how to understand our own growth and evolution, how to find a vocabulary for changes we object to, and how to embrace the multifaceted selves we are becoming.
Come join us for an inspiring workshop with the talented and accomplished writer Isabelle Baafi! This in-person event is part of the new Fusion Arts Oxford Writers Wheel workshops for young people in Oxford. Get ready to unleash your creativity and hone your craft!
Participants aged 16-19 from any backgrounds are eligible to enrol for the workshops. People from under-represented backgrounds are especially welcome.
