Would you like to create exciting Fused Glass Artworks in a wonderful, welcoming environment?
You are warmly invited to an exciting fused glass workshop at Bolton Gate Farm, with Paula Andrews together with Bolton Gates Arts.
Paula is a regional Glass Artist with over 30 years experience in glassmaking. She creates artworks inspired by the nature that surrounds us. With her fused glass animals, birds and landscapes she encourages us to look at our everyday with fresh eyes, and to celebrate the colour and vitality of life in all its rambunctious beauty.

At this workshop, Paula will begin with a brief introduction and demonstration of the key processes used to creating fused glass artworks that are both two and 3 dimensional. Next you will invited to be inspired by the inspirational sources and so develop a project of your choice. This may be a hanging decoration, such as a sun catcher or a fused glass collage such as a landscape, or even a fused glass vase, or plate or dish .
The admission fee covers your participation in the workshop, then at the workshop you will choose and pay for whichever glass projects you would like to complete. The projects are priced individually, and the price range is between £9:00- £38 per project. A fused glass bird is £9:00. There are lots of projects priced between £15-£20. A project price list will be available at the workshop.

At the end of the workshop, Paula will return to her studio to fire the glass works in her kiln. This is the process when the glass is heated slowly to almost 800 degrees centigrade, when the glass becomes soft and almost molten. It is at this temperature that the glass fuses together to form a the special smooth and glossy surface. Then, the glass is cooled slowly to room temperature. Following this, finishes touches are applied and so the glass works are completed. At the workshop, arrangements can be made for both collection or delivery which will be within 10 days of the workshop.

"fantastic evening, very enjoyable and relaxing too. Learnt a lot about glass fusion and different techniques. Would 10 out of 10 recommend. "
"I had booked this 2hour course with a friend to spend some time together, another friendly group joined us and I thoroughly enjoyed focussing on the glass work amongst the chatting and cups of tea. Paula explained the process and terminology and provided us with great ideas to start with. If we ever became unsure, Paula would gently suggest options, so the we were still in control of our own designs. A great crafting experience!"
"We had an excellent 2 hour session of glass fusing. Paula was friendly and helpful. We were able to choose what we made from a selection of options. Paula gave clear instructions and gave useful advice on our creations. We are looking forward to seeing them after they have been in the kiln. We would highly recommend this course"
*All attendees must purchase a ticket. All under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult.
