Instructor: Kathleen ForneySkill Level: Beginner
In this class students will learn about the various types of fused glass. In addition, learn the basic technique of cutting glass and the required tools. Finally, how to assemble and decorate that glass to create a fused glass vase. The finished project will be approximately 6“ tall with an approximate width of 5”. Students will have a choice of colored glass.
After the class, the projects will be taken to the instructor’s studio where they will be fired twice in the kiln. The 1st firing will melt the glass and the 2nd firing will mold the glass. The student’s bowls will be returned to the Guild in approximately 2 to 3 weeks after the class.
All materials are included in the tuition. This workshop is appropriate for students aged 10 and up.
