We’re excited to invite you to participate in our upcoming 5K Wellness Walk/Run! This is a great opportunity to get moving, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with colleagues while focusing on your health and well-being.This year, we’re adding something special: partnering with Caring Hearts 4 Paws Rescue to give some wonderful dogs a chance to join us on the 5K. You’ll be able to “check out” a dog for the event—giving them a fun adventure, fresh air, and a much-needed break from kennel life.
A quick note: You don’t have to complete the full 5K to join in. Whether you have time for the full course, a mile, or even just a short stroll, your participation makes a difference—for you and for the dogs! You also don't need to check out a dog to participate. It's just an option to make your walk more meaningful.
Why bring a dog on the walk with you?
• For You: Walking or running with a dog lowers stress, increases motivation, and often makes the miles fly by. Plus, it’s a lot more fun to have a furry cheerleader trotting beside you!
• For the Dog: Many of these dogs are waiting for their forever homes. A walk—even a short one—gives them exercise, socialization, and exposure to new people who may consider adoption.
How to join in:

2. Let us know if you’d like to walk or run with a dog from Caring Hearts 4 Paws.
3. Show up ready for a healthy adventure—for both you and your four-legged buddy!
Together, we’ll be doing something good for our bodies and our community. Lace up your sneakers, grab some water, and maybe a leash—you won’t want to miss it!
Suggested CFD Donation is $10, which would go directly to the rescue.
We can’t wait to see you (and wagging tails) at the starting line.
