I’d love to welcome you to this one day (10 am to 3 pm) ‘Furniture Painting/Upcycling’ workshop in the relaxed and friendly environment at South Ribble Tennis & Fitness Centre, Preston.I have combined the levels 1 and 2 workshops so you will learn many more advanced techniques during the day in addition to many of the standard well known techniques.
Learn the wonderful art of upcycling (no previous experience needed) from scratch whilst making some new like minded friends in a relaxed, supportive and beautiful environment. The workshop is ideal for complete beginners, or for people who have tried their hand at upcycling previously and would like to expand their skills.
You will have the opportunity to bring along and restore a piece of your own furniture
I will explain all about the prep required, the different branded paints available on the market and the pros and cons of each, differing brushes, tools, materials and protective products required for effective and creative furniture painting.
You will be using our gorgeous Re-Colour Furniture Chalk Paint during the workshop (provided).
I will teach you a variety of painting techniques including:
One- coat distressing
Multi-coat distressing
Dry brushing
Glazing
Blending
Ageing
Crackling
Stencilling
Waxing
Finishing and paint protection
I will be there every step of the way to guide you and take you through the process at your pace. With such a small group, there is plenty of time for one to one discussion. Full workshop notes on paints, products and techniques and where to buy will be provided.
The price includes lovely homemade cakes, cream scones, biscuits, tea and coffee throughout the day.
