About this Event
FUNraiser for Take a Hike and History Enthusiasts!
Join us for a special Ohio City tour highlighting the historic architecture along Franklin Avenue, often referred to as the West Side's Millionaire’s Row, and you’ll see why! We'll explore landmarks from Franklin Church to Franklin Castle, stroll through Kentucky Gardens, walk down Church Street and conclude at Bookhouse Brewery.
At the brewery, you'll meet Magdalena Baehr, who will share the story of Baehr Brewery, one of Cleveland’s first brewery businesses. Afterward, enjoy a beer tasting and snack while immersing yourself in the history and nostalgia of the old brewery.
From 7-8 pm, teams of four will compete in Take a Hike Trivia, testing their knowledge of history and past tours for a chance to win fun prizes!
All proceeds benefit the Take a Hike program and support our free summer tours. Come for the history, stay for the fun!
Franklin Avenue in Ohio City Tour meets Monday, October 21 at 5:30pm at old carriage house building (now Cleveland Clinic Luthern Hospital office) at 2706 Franklin Avenue. Please arrive 15 minutes early as the tour starts promptly.
Free parking is available at the Lutheran Hospital north lot that can be accessed from West 28th Street or Franklin Boulevard.
