Funny February: Battle of the Sexes Comedy Slam

Hosted by the hilarious Comedian Rob Love, Funny February: Battle of the Sexes Comedy Slam is a comedy slam experience with an open mic component. After 3 rounds of comedy, the comedian with the highest score at the end of each round, will earn cash. Three judges will score the competition. Each round is every comic’s game to win. Eliminations for each round will take place based on the number of comedians who enter the slam. Comedians are invited from all over the globe. Grab a friend and meet us there or come solo and make some new friends. Get those advance tickets, today! Don’t pay more at the door, if you don’t have to. The bar and kitchen will be open. The vibe will always be one of a kind.

Round 1: Blindfold Round (judges will be blindfolded in this round so they’ll judge your material strictly off content, no outside biases) - this round can be up to 3 min with a 10-second grace period.

Round 2: You Look Like Round (a toe-to-toe match up in a two-comedian verzuz - this round gives both comedians up to 1 minute and 10 seconds to “check” the opponent using “You Look Like” as your base phrase. The winner advances to next opponent until the round is won. Each comedian will have a minimum of one matchup in this round and based on eliminations and amount of slam comics, can get up to 3 additional matchups. Judges will use the color of each comic’s flag (provided for comedians) to score their chosen winner for this round. There isn’t a rule on HOW you have to do this round. Be creative!

Round 3: Comedian’s Choice Round (any topic the comedian would like) - this round can be 8 mins with a 10-second grace period.

Doors open: 5pm

Open Mic (up to 5 poets & comedians - must sign up in advance): 6pm

Comedy Slam: 6:30pm (or immediately following the open mic)
