Come and create a beautiful bird out of willow. Bird sculptures are fun to make using recently cut and buff willow. The starting point for a sculpture is the framework, followed by free weave technique.Jane Roberts will demonstrate step by step and help you throughout the process. Willow is a good sustainable material used in making a variety of different objects including baskets and today a sculptural bird.
This workshop is designed for adults of any creative level and is the perfect way to spend the day learning a new skill and meeting like-minded people.
At the end of the workshop, not only will you be able to take your newly created bird home but you may be inspired to do more willow weaving in future!
