About this Event
Welcome to Conscious Dance Orlando Presents…FUNKY BEATS!
Come shake and wiggle, and perhaps even giggle. The suggestion is to make this space a playground and allow ourselves to explore our funky natures. The self-discovery will be up to you! This event is all about tuning into our own cells and respecting others on a similar journey. We can arrive without any prerogative other than to move and breathe with no judgment…and what a fine vision is that?
This event is being curated by the CDO community. With an enthralling sonic journey by Rachel, Herbal Tea with Plant Friends by Patrick , a sacred indoor/outdoor garden space by Community Center 729, and many more.
The space is intimate, so purchase your tickets early before we reach capacity! (We will close the event once sold out.)
We aim to keep our events accessible, while delivering high quality, so please donate to the best of your ability (suggested donation $25, sliding scale to $10). All are welcome!

6:30-8 Welcome, Dance (~80 min), Closing
We like to keep it flexible, and, let's aim to arrive by 6:25 to get settled and ready for the funk at 6:30. You are welcome to leave whenever you feel called, or to stay and mingle in the beautiful gardens afterwards :).
Things to bring:
- Comfortable clothing
- Water bottle
- A favorite mug for tea offering (optional)
- Please leave fragrances at home (colognes, perfumes, highly scented detergents) to keep it allergy-friendly
- A journal (optional)
- Yoga mat if you wish for extra squish (not required)
New to Ecstatic Dance?
It's basically a dance party without the filler, where movement is medicine. There are no substances, no judgments, and no rules other than be respectful, be curious, and be authentic. The music will be a prompt for expression, and you'll find yourself in a safe space for feeling your feels, celebrating your joys, and releasing your self-limitations.
