Fiction DC welcomes FUNKER VOGT to Washington DC on OCTOBER 24! The legendary electronic-industrial band from Germany is joined by two hard hitting US bands, ABSYNTHE OF FAITH and ANTANIA. FUNKER VOGT [Germany]
Dark-Electro band Funker Vogt was born almost 30 years ago. And it would quickly grow into one of the leading electro-acts of today.. Since 1996 Funker Vogt has published 13 studio albums and lots of ep’s, singles and two live videos on dvd. Funker Vogt managed to reach the top of both the German and the international electro-scene very quickly and has since remained at the top of these charts, like DAC (German Alternative Charts) and GEWC (German Electronic WebCharts), where they have been received with international enthusiasm. Next to its creativity, it is the vibrant energy of its live concerts which best characterizes the band. The newest album “Final Construct” released by Repo Records saw Bastian Polak (Intent:Outtake) joining the German formation. The album sounds in the fullest Funker Vogt-tradition; somewhere between Dark-Electro and EBM with a slightly more melodic touch on top. A distinctive theme is present in the band's work and stage presence; both their musicianship and their costuming are strongly reminiscent of military music and dress. The political stance of Funker Vogt is decidedly anti-war; the band cites "war and social injustice" as their primary topics of discussion.

ANTANIA [Joshua Tree, CA]
Antania is a doom/bass project from Joshua Tree CA. Antania's brutal "Doom Bass” style incorporates elements of electronica, doom metal and industrial. Dr. Luna,, the duo’s demented musical maestro, creates Doom/Bass solely with synthesizers and guitar distortion pedals by wrapping distortion around sub-bass. Frontwoman Kali Mortem brings the show with brutal vocals.

ABSYNTHE OF FAITH [Minneapolis, MN]
Absynthe of Faith mixes influences of Industrial, Electronic, Bass and Rock elements, with other genres. Jarvis, a former classical musician, created the project To create a style both musically and visually unique. AOF has actively been performing, touring, throughout the US and Mexico. Referred to as the “busiest touring Industrial group in MN”
