About this Event
Join us for an exciting day out at our Fungi Foray event.
This interactive event is perfect for anyone interested in mycology or foraging, novice to beginner.
You will learn how to identify different mushroom species, their unique characteristics and give you the skills you will need to start in the world of foraging.
As a bonus you'll also learn about some of the edible plants that are around. Small groups only.
Join James during these peak months to learn how fungi is interconnected with the forest and where you might find them.
James is passionate and has a number of years of foraging experience, he forages for mushrooms and plants almost every day.
We cannot guarantee that we will find edible mushrooms but you will learn a lot.
No person under 18 and no dogs please.
Come prepared with weather appropriate clothes, water, a snack and walking boots or similar.
This event will go ahead rain or shine, in the event there is extreme weather conditions which is a threat to life the event will be cancelled and attendees will be notified via email.
Location to be announced depending on conditions, either in Horsham or Crawley, West Sussex
ACCESSIBILITY - Attendees need to physically fit as there is plenty of steep hills, roots, downed trees and uneven areas.

PLEASE NOTE: WHEN FORAGING FOR FUNGI ON YOUR OWN YOU MUST LEARN TO IDENTIFY THEM PROPERLY BY IDENTIFYING ALL KEY FEATURES BY USING A NUMBER OF RESOURCES. NO RESPONSIBILITY CAN BE ATTRIBUTED TO THE ORGANISERS FOR ATTENDEES PICKING AND CONSUMING UNSUITABLE MUSHROOMS FOLLOWING ONE OF OUR WALKS.
