La Toque invites you to an intimate, one-night-only celebration of the extraordinary world of wild mushrooms. This special event showcases an array of rare and exceptional fungi, including the beloved California Golden Chanterelle (Cantharellus californicus) and the highly prized Matsutake (Tricholoma murrillianum).
The evening brings together the culinary artistry of Chef Ken Frank with the engaging storytelling of Dr. Gordon Walker, better known as Dr. Fun Guy and the author of Passport to Kingdom Fungi.
Guests will begin with a Champagne reception and a meet-and-greet, enjoying mushroom-forward hors d’oeuvres crafted especially for the occasion. At 6:00pm, a five-course tasting menu awaits - each dish a thoughtful expression of fungi at their seasonal peak. Optional wine pairings curated from our award-winning cellar will be available for those who wish to elevate the experience even further.
Following dinner, Dr. Walker will host a book signing and conversation for guests who wish to delve deeper into the wonders of the fungal kingdom. If you do not already own a copy, books will be available for purchase during the event.
