Good Afternoon All,I just wanted to update everyone on Casey's funeral plans:
Monday 24.03.2025, We invite family, friends, and all who knew and loved Casey Hennessey to join us in celebrating his life and saying our final goodbyes. This is an open funeral. If you knew Casey Hennessey and would like to pay your respects, you are more than welcome to join us. He touched so many lives, and the family believes this is the most fitting way to honour him.
The Procession, A Journey Through Casey’s Life.
The funeral will begin at Casey’s home, 9 Lower Paxton Road at 14:00, where the funeral directors will bring Casey in the funeral car. The procession will start with the funeral directors walking Casey down Lower Paxton Road, pausing outside his home to allow loved ones and friends a moment to reflect. Family and friends are welcome to gather, but we kindly ask that the road remains accessible for the hearse to manoeuvre safely.
From there, Casey will take one last journey through places that meant so much to him. Casey will travel to Shirley Road, the house where he grew up, surrounded by the love of his family. This was a home filled with childhood memories, and the bonds that shaped him.
The procession will then continue towards Hatfield Road, passing the train station and heading into town. We will take a slow journey through St Peter’s Street, before making our way to Watford Crematorium.
Funeral Service: Location: Watford, West Herts Crematorium's original chapel. Time: 15:30
We kindly ask all guests to be seated by 15:30, as the service will begin. We also ask for the front two rows to be reserved for family members. The service will last 45 minutes, offering us time to remember, reflect, and celebrate Casey’s life.
The Wake
After the service, we invite everyone to gather at Waterend Barn in St Albans. This will be an opportunity to share memories, offer support, and raise a glass in Casey’s honour.
