Building Your Pipeline for 2025: Assessing Your Data
Join Ken Jones for his First Annual Fundraising Zen Retreat, a transformative experience designed to help you strategically assess and build your fundraising pipeline for 2025. This data-driven retreat offers a comprehensive professional assessment that provides a contextual history of your giving, along with actionable insights across your entire revenue program. The retreat will focus on three key areas: Relationship-Based Giving, Mass Market Fundraising, and Employer-Enabled Support.
In the area of Relationship-Based Giving, the retreat will delve into key funder engagement and advancement, community giving clubs and societies, honor and tribute giving, as well as final giving. The Mass Market Fundraising focus will explore monthly giving, traffic engineering and paid advertising, content strategy, conversion optimization, and journey mapping with persona development. For Employer-Enabled Support, the retreat will address employer patrons, employee champions, and workplace campaigns.
The professional assessment you receive will include a detailed performance evaluation of your fundraising efforts, along with objective feedback on current strategies. Through comprehensive data analysis, the retreat will uncover relevant insights and address prioritized questions. You will also benefit from predictive modeling and wealth screening to prioritize financial relationships, and a review of both technical and non-technical fundraising systems. Additionally, the assessment will evaluate your value proposition within the philanthropic landscape, incorporating insights from staff, board members, and key funders. Archiving and documenting your historical fundraising story will be a key component, providing clarity and alignment for future revenue streams.
Key deliverables from the retreat will include a review of historical giving segments, concentration risk assessment, and the development of key performance indicators (KPIs). You’ll also receive an operational strategy for data entry and reporting, a new revenue growth plan, and design insights for upcoming performance campaigns with results forecasting. Finally, the retreat will provide a functional delegation calendar that outlines internal relationship management, publishing actions, and work session schedules.
By the end of the Fundraising Zen Retreat, you'll have a clear action plan and the tools needed to achieve your fundraising goals for 2025 and beyond, ensuring that your strategy is both robust and future-focused.
Data Request
This retreat will be powered by your data, so we will be requesting data through the end of Q3 2024, plus the preceding six years. We are requesting a comprehensive data collection covering the past seven fiscal years. For individual donors, please include detailed information such as gift amounts, dates, and reasons for the gifts (e.g., campaigns, appeals), along with names, addresses, and email addresses for wealth screening purposes. Additionally, we require a complete list of all grants received during this period, including the start and end dates, and a breakdown of how these funds are being allocated within the budget. This expanded data will enable us to conduct a thorough assessment and optimize our fundraising strategies moving forward.
