Following on from the Artists Together session we held this summer looking at fundraising, Andy Cave the team leader for the Arts in Libraries team will be holding two sessions for voluntary arts groups looking at basic fundraising skills and techniques.
The first session will focus on planning, looking at funding jargon such as outcomes and outputs, finishing off with looking at various sources of funding and the pros and cons of each.
The second session 25 November will take the learning from the first session for you to be able to apply this to your own funding needs and then look at compelling ways you can demonstrate your need for funding through an application.
Each session will be about two hours long and the numbers are capped at 16. It helps if participants have an idea of what they're looking for in terms of funding, so they can relate the learning to a real life example.
