Meet Ottie (aka Princess Ottie May Jenkins), an almost 2-year-old Terrier mix and my current foster dog. She got her name, Ottie, because she looked like an otter as a puppy.
Ottie was rescued from the streets with her siblings at 2 weeks old. I know nothing else about her background. Her siblings have been adopted out, but Ottie struggles with her fear. She is scared of people and any loud noise. This causes her to act aggressively around anyone who isn't me, my son, or her animal siblings.
So, for Ottie to be available for adoption, she needs training. This will be a month-long program, and at the end, we are all confident that she will let her loving spirit shine for everyone she meets!
She really is a love bug at heart, always ready to cuddle - specifically on a thick, warm blanket!
Ottie loves:
• Sunny days lying on the back patio with the sun on her belly
• Protecting her yard from squirrels and the noisy garbage truck
• Watching TV (vet and zoo shows!)
• Her "sister" Luna (Border Collie/Aussie mix)
• Her two cat siblings (she curls up with them every day!)
Rico Pet Recovery, the rescue organization I am fostering Ottie through, will cover some of the expenses. But, like most rescue organizations, they are stretched way too thin. The more I can raise, the more resources they have to help other animals.
