A special event celebrating Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month. We will be screening The Mobility Independence Foundation's (MIF) multi-award-winning documentary The Power to Move, winner of 'Best Documentary" at Festigious International Film Festival, which spotlights the urgent need for wheelchair repair rights and accessible innovation.
We will also have a live Q&A discussion with the founder and executive director of MIF, Thomas Quiter, who will discuss his own journey as a full-time wheelchair user and his path to founding The Mobility Independence Foundation.
Lastly, we will announce the release of MIF's book, written by Dr. Daniel Chaves and based on the story of an Oheb member, about a little boy's quest to find a wheelchair that gives him the power of independence.
About MIF:
Across the United States, children who need mobility devices wait months—sometimes years—for the equipment that lets them move, learn, and grow. While paperwork and denials drag on, children are sidelined and experience delays in their independence and development.
Imagine a world where every child has access to the mobility they need to grow, play, and thrive. The Mobility Independence Foundation (MIF) is working to create that world, and that's why it is launching the RozRover, a modular and adaptable child’s power chair designed to fill healthcare gaps, ensure timely access, and teach independence through better technology.
