About this Event
This practical hands-on joint workshop is a follow-on from the WMFN November 2023 seminar on the latest ONS data insights. The seminar provided an opportunity to receive data insights on social and population changes in the region and how that relates to service data and responses from policymakers in reviewing service and resource allocation priorities.
Feedback from members indicated an interest to explore in more depth and become more familiar with different data sets with funding data that can help improve understanding of how data sets can be used to support work on funding, hence this event.
This workshop is a joint event with Birmingham City Observatory and Digital Neighbourhood Network Schemes (NNS )to look at data sets on IMD, equality characteristics, VCSE data and funding data as a way of sharing understanding of the value of data in our work and gaining insights into patterns and gaps. The workshop will also provide an opportunity to share where to get help with data analysis and insights and explore what other data interests’ funders have.
You don't need to have data skills or experience. If you are interested in attending, please bring along a laptop or tablet, with charger ideally, as you will be working in small groups.
