About this Event
Over the past four years, JPMC Global Philanthropy has been involved in the Greater RVA Small Business Ecosystem Coalition Building Project, an initiative aimed at creating equitable access to opportunities for disadvantaged Black and Brown business owners. Inspired by the 2020 Greater RVA Ecosystem Assessment findings, this project recognizes entrepreneurship as a vital pathway to wealth-building in underserved communities, yet acknowledges the significant barriers hindering success.
The Greater RVA Small Business Ecosystem Building Project has achieved notable progress. With the collaboration of over 40 Greater RVA small business support organizations, capital providers, policymakers, educators, and business owners, we have developed R.I.C.H. RVA, a comprehensive virtual resource hub poised to become the primary directory for all things business in Greater Richmond. This initiative has ignited collective action among local business service providers, presenting exciting opportunities for the funding community to make a tangible impact.
At this Funders Forum, our project team will present the results of the Greater RVA Small Business Ecosystem Coalition Building Project and explore opportunities for aligned or pooled funding commitments to amplify our efforts.
