ALL LEVELS WELCOME!🔜 JUNE 8 & 9, 10am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
🥸Learn the fundamentals of physical comedy with “master of physical comedy” Anne Zander (BroadwayWorld). Drawing on clowning, vocal exploration, comedy archetypes and more, this 2-day intensive will help you develop deeper body awareness, lean into vulnerability, connect in full presence with the audience and build new (literal!) comedy muscles to entertain and amaze. 🤩
🎟 $265 Regular // 🦤 $215 EARLY BIRD through MAY 18!
😲All levels welcome! No performance experience necessary! For those who have worked with me before, this is a great chance to refresh on the basics, dive deeper in to exercises and hone precision movement.
“Anne’s teaching gives me access to a grounded, primal, less judgmental version of myself. I’ve learned the importance of simplicity, failure, connection with the audience, and connection with myself in a way that’s changed my experience of performing (and life?) in a really fun and meaningful way.” -Haley Klarfeld, Stand-up & Clown
“I’m grateful for how hard you push us and especially how you can be demanding and supportive and harsh and loving and serious and lighthearted all at the same time -- your ability to hold balance in all things is super impressive to me, and I love you for it.” - Jack Miller, Assistant Professor of Political Science
Anne Zander is a “completely ridiculous… completely vulnerable” actor, clown, solo-character creator and physical comedy teacher with an MA in devised, physical theater (Theatre Lab) from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London (BroadwayWorld). She performs regularly at comedy venues across Portland and is also the real-life mother to 1-year old twins. More at annezander.com
