Join us for a 5- week immersion into the basics and benefits of fermenting at home. You don’t need any fancy equipment to get started, and it’s not rocket science. But it helps to have a helping hand, and a group of like-minded people to learn with! Once you get going you’ll find that it’s a joy to experiment in the kitchen- you may even be thankful for all that time at home!

This closed 5- part group course allows you to build on your knowledge week-by-week. Every week you will learn a bit about the history and science of fermentation, follow a practical session, and there is ample time for questions and troubleshooting your ferments during every class. In between sessions you’ll be given a task to prepare for the following week. You’ll also receive a hand out with the basic concepts we learnt and a recipe every week.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR
The group course is led by Heather Gordon Athié, a certified Nutritional Health Coach with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She caught the bug for fermentation a few years ago and has experimented ever since! She is passionate about finding easy and fun ways to improve the quality of the food we eat, to improve the functioning of our tummies and increase our sense of wellbeing. She has been leading fermentation workshops in Kenya, and is now offering this course to a UK audience online! She will guide you over 5 weeks with her in-depth understanding of the science of nutrition and dad-like sense of humour. Heather is also a Yoga teacher, Level 2 Wim Hof Method Instructor, and Mental Resilience Coach, you can find out about all her events at Caluna Wellness on Facebook. .
