We are gearing up for the Fund Run! Every year the Finch PTO hosts an annual Fund Run to raise money for our mission:
The mission of the Finch PTO is to act as a liaison between the community and Finch Elementary School while establishing, promoting and supporting programs and events that enhance students’ education.
How does the fund run work?
Students raise funds by asking family members or friends to donate small amounts to pledge for the mission of the PTO ($5-$50). In return, your student will run for us on June 6 and get as many laps in during their heat.
The top five students who bring in the most donations will win tickets and classes to Ninja Nation. The two top classes to collectively raise the most funds will win a class party.
Who can donate?
Anyone can donate to the Fund Run. However businesses who are interested in donating can receive a tax deduction, and if they donate $250 or more they will earn a spot with their logo on the back of our Fund Run t-shirts!
How can I donate?
Families, friends and businesses can donate using cash, check, or online using a link. Students will be coming home with a donation envelope to keep track of their donations. Businesses can write a check to the Finch PTO or use our online platform. We are using 99pledges to collect online payments for students and Zeffy for Businesses to donate larger amounts online. Please be on the lookout in your child’s red folder!

What type of things are funded by the PTO?
The PTO funds a variety of events and resources for our school. Here is a list of things we have been able to fund for Finch with these donations:
- Field trips for all grades
- Teacher and specialist classroom supplies and equipment
- Smart panels (upgraded classroom technology)
- Soccer goals
- New instruments for our Music Room!
We also host and run after-school events for our students at low or no cost:
- Fall Carnival
- Turkey Bingo
- Santa Photos
- Spring Dance
What do I do next?
Mark your calendars! Make sure you’re able to attend this great event! We are in the works of planning out fun ways this event will be exciting for the whole family.
Students will be receiving an envelope in their red folders coming home after spring break. This will be your way to donate cash and start keeping track of donations for students to win prizes. Anyone at anytime can donate online using 99pledges or Zeffy. Please include your student’s name so we can keep track of their pledges! If you own a business or know of a business that would like to donate $250 or more please email the PTO directly at FinchPTO@gmail.com.
