The FMS is a basic movement screening that is used to find hidden movement habits muscle weakness balance compensations and to prevent injury. Anyone can do the FMS as it is a simple set of measured movements designed to look at how your body moves in patterns not parts. NEXUS believes physical movement is learned behavior through shape change. This means we can define our starting conditions through the FMS and relearn proper form inside functional fitness for healing and training.
The FMS gives NEXUS the unique information to construct your data-driven personalized plan. NEXUS uses the screening to provide corrective exercises for you to do in the gym or the comfort of your own home.
So If you feel like a past injury is getting in the way of your performance or if you seem to be hitting a plateau these evaluations will tell you everything you need to know about how to improve your fitness!
*The FMS is required for Personal Training Technique Training & to move through the Performance Training Levels.
