From nouveau riche to nouveau poor, Dick and Jane find their upper middle-class life threatened when Dick loses his job as an aerospace engineer. Owing a lot of money because it’s more important to look rich than actually be rich, Jane’s wealthy parents, instead of bailing them out, tell Dick and Jane to use this experience as a life lesson to live within their means. Rather, they turn to a life crime.Although clumsy at first, Dick and Jane quickly learn the ropes and become good criminals. With sharp-edged and funny scenes, this movie is a fun look at middle-class America, its foibles and how life can unravel.
