We are honored to be providing the music to support this GREAT cause!! Shippensburg University’s Kappa Sigma fraternity is hosting a “Fun Run For Health” to support the Community Free Clinic, according to a community announcement.
The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sept. 6 along the Shippensburg Rail Trail and the Shippensburg Station Trailhead. Participants can choose between a 1-mile, 2-mile or 5K run or walk. Pre-registration costs $15, while same-day registration is $20. Children under 7 can participate for free.
All proceeds will benefit the Community Free Clinic, a nonprofit organization providing free healthcare services to uninsured individuals in Washington County, Maryland. The county has more than 10,000 residents without health insurance.
The clinic offers physical and mental health services and connects patients with other organizations for additional assistance.
The event is part of Kappa Sigma’s national initiative, “A Greater Cause,” which promotes volunteerism, citizenship and community service.
