Fun Run @ CMS21

We'll be jogging down by the Embarcadero in San Francisco on the morning of CMS21 Day Two. Join us as we get together and raise money for a good cause. Proceeds and donations go to Sweet Farm Animal Sanctuary in Half Moon Bay, California.

How this Fun Run works:

Step 1: Register

Registration for each participant is $25.

Saturday, October 23rd

7:00 AM Meet at Meeting Point

7:30 AM Run Start

8:30 AM Run End

9:00 AM Snacks and Refreshments

Meeting Point

The meeting point will be at the Ferry Building at San Francisco's Embarcadero. Accessible from BART and public transportation. Specific details on the meeting point to be determined.

Run Details (Remote):

On the weekend of October 22nd, please complete a run, bike ride, or other distance based physical activity on your own schedule. You can run outdoors or indoors and alone or with a group.

Step 3: Share

Once completed, please share your run with us, this can include:

Your favorite app’s screenshot of the run. We recommend Strava.

A picture/ selfie with the CSM21 t-shirt

Any other fun pictures you have during the time around your Fun Run (e.g. making a smoothie for your run)

Step 4: Enjoy knowing you helped!

By participating in our virtual run, all proceeds go to Sweet Farm.

Whether you sign up to participate as a runner remotely or in-person, or choose not to participate in the run, we encourage you to donate directly to Sweet Farm using this link.

Safety

Please remember to practice social distancing whether you are running with us in-person or on your own. Hand sanitizing wipes will be available for in-person runners.

Participants will receive a CMS20 shirt for the run. In-person participants will receive their shirts at the meeting point. Shirts will be shipped to remote participants prior to the event.

What is Sweet Farm?

Sweet Farm was created in 2015 by two dedicated animal rights supporters, Anna Sweet and Nate Salpeter who wanted to create a sanctuary to increase advocacy and awareness for farmed animals, while leaning on their backgrounds in technology to enable global impact.

The Cultured Meat Symposium is a conference dedicated to cell-cultured meat technology. CMS21 covers topics of Scalability + Sustainability as it relates to cell-cultured meat, poultry, and seafood. The event is taking place in San Francisco on October 22-23, 2021.
