2026 marks 100 years since King George V granted Salford official city status. The centenary gives us a chance to celebrate everything that makes the city great; and it will include a cultural programme curated and created by Walk the Plank and From the Other. Over this October half term and coming to a neighbourhood in Salford near you, is our prototype Wagon Train, which will then make appearances in a variety of places and spaces next year. Where should it go? What should it present and represent? You can get a sneaky peak of this pop-up Play, Performance and Games space at the Fun Palace… and let us know your ideas, aspirations and suggestions for Salford 2026.

Also present on the day will be the Salford Badge Club, members of the Creative Explorers programme, and there will be there will be lots to see and do, thanks to our emerging creatives Ruby and Ella, so bring family and friends.
This is Walk the Plank’s fifth Fun Palace and everyone is welcome / all are invited. Free refreshments.
