Autumn Self Care Sunday .This may appeal to anyone who would value dropping out of everyday life to spend an hour and a half on a yoga mat to enjoy some gentle floor based restorative yoga whilst being nourished by Tibetan sound bowls.
You don't have to have any experience whatsoever of yoga practice.
This is completely floor based, where you will be guided into restorative positions to gently activate your vagus nerve for an all over calming effect.
Each position will nourish and balance your seven chakras- invisible spinning wheels of energy channels situated from the base of the spine to the crown of the head
Different sound bowls will be used for each chakra with the pitch of the bowel specifically for that chakra.
We will practice some somatic breathing using deep rhythmic breaths and patterns. This can support people to transition from the uncomfortable place of fight flight to one of rest and restore.
What to bring :-
A yoga mat
A blanket
Perhaps a cushion or pillow
Water bottle if you wish
What to wear :-
Loose warm clothing (the room is toasty warm)
Or loose cool clothing if you prefer to be cooler
Big socks maybe !
