Discover Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in a whole new light – or rather, under the glow of the full moon! Join us for a guided Night Hike through the refuge, where you'll experience the magic of the nocturnal world come to life.
Under the cover of darkness, we'll embark on a journey to explore the habitats of creatures that thrive after sunset. From the elusive owls and nimble raccoons to the curious opossums, you'll have the opportunity to witness the wonders of the "night shift" as they awaken and go about their nightly activities.
Led by our educators, this approximately 1-mile hike will take you on a captivating adventure through the refuge's moonlit trails. Along the way, you'll learn fascinating facts about the nocturnal animals that call Cedar Run home and gain insight into their behaviors and adaptations for life in the dark.
Whether you're an avid nature enthusiast or simply curious about the creatures of the night, our Full Moon Night Hike offers a unique opportunity to connect with the natural world in a whole new way. Don't miss out on the chance to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of the nighttime forest.
This program begins at 6:30pm and runs 1hr+ depending on our findings, not to exceed 90 minutes. Ages 8+ please. $15/adult, $10/child. Members save 10%. 20 participants maximum. Advanced registration required.
