March is the Full Worm Moon.The worm moon is the name given to the last full moon of winter by Native Americans. The name comes from the worm trails that appear in the newly thawed ground. Signaling the start of spring.
Our full moon enthusiasts will be leaving at 6 PM from Longo open space, hiking less than half a mile up to the outcropping and pine tree Grove to view the full moon and returning to the parking lot between seven and 7:30 PM.
We’ll have a cup of hot cocoa for you and one of our popular stuffed baked potatoes “pocket warmers“ as well.
Please bring your own travel mug.
Cost $10 per person bring a friend and you both get in for $15.
