Who's coming to dance on the beach with me? We're taking my Groove class on the beach.... Silent Disco Style! Oh yes!... how amazing to move and groove on the beautiful Longsands Beach in Tynemouth for the last Super Full Moon of the year! This one will be VERY SPECIAL!
Join me for this fun, creative, uplifting and simple dance experience like no other! Groove will nurture your body, mind, heart, and soul - no experience needed! You dance it YOUR way - you can't get it wrong! Let go, feel free, move your body and feel fantastic.
No complicated dance steps, no left, right, front or back...we just groove... dance floor style!
My playlists always bring all styles of music to get your groove on....funk, jazzy, gentle slow expressive, tribal beats, rock, pop, disco, 90s rave... all sorts!
We start with centering ourselves and breathing, then stretching, circulation and warming the body up. We then start to move to the music slowly and simply as there are only 1-3 moves to each song. We dance these few moves together, but you'll do it in YOUR OWN UNIQUE STYLE ...I give plenty of cues and suggestions to spark your creativity and playfulness....we are all different, and we should all look different!
We will end the class with stillness and relaxation...lying on the sand, so please bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket to lie on. You just relax the body and concentrate on your breath. You will leave the class feeling a sense of stress free, feel good bliss.
