In our world full of stress and challenges, it's important that we each find time and space to relax and utilize practices to help bring our whole being into harmony and balance. Full Moons provide a moment of increased energy on the earth plane.
On Sunday, October 5th you are invited to a Full Moon Candlelight Sound Bath Experience at Phoenix Yoga and Fitness with Greg Burns of Metta Vibrations. This experience can be a deeply meditative and relaxing experience, as well as very transformational. This session will begin at 7pm and will incorporate the soothing sounds of Tibetan Singing Bowls, Symphonic Gong, and more.
Participants will be invited to relax and become comfortable for the session. After being invited to get comfortable and offering some brief guided relaxation, Greg Burns will begin filling the atmosphere with the harmonic tones of the various instruments. The sounds will last about an hour before being guided back to waking consciousness. Time to ground and reflect on the experience will be offered before concluding the session.

No experience needed. These sessions are geared to aid those not experienced with meditation, as well as offer an opportunity for deep meditation for experienced practitioners.
Participants are encouraged to wear loose, comfortable clothing and limit caffeine intake prior. Participants should consider bringing any mat, pillow, blanket or crystal you desire to have with you for the session to create a comfortable resting spot for the session. There is often a tendency for the body to become cool during the experience. Phoenix Yoga and Fitness does offer a variety of items you can use, including mats, blankets, and bolsters.

Greg Burns is a Sound Practitioner hailing from the mountains of Virginia. He has trained in Therapeutic application of sound and has been offering a wide range of services and sound experiences for a number of years now. Greg utilizes a range of instruments as part of his practice including Singing Bowls, Gong, Drums, Chimes, Rattles, and more. He has shared his Sound experiences all over Virginia and the East Coast, including at the well-known Kripalu Yoga Center in MA. He also regularly leads drum circles and is percussionist for the kirtan duo Chakra Khan. Working for 15 years in a western medicine therapeutic setting allows Greg to offer a unique and expansive understanding of the individual healing process.
