Could you navigate through an unfamiliar forest without the aid of GPS or a trail to follow? How would you figure out which way to go? In this 90-minute mini-workshop, we’ll cover basic techniques for using an “old school” map and compass to navigate (and how to plan for the possibility of a “signal less” hike!) – and you’ll test your new skill with an outdoor navigation and mapping activity.
