The GopherCon New York 2025 full-day workshop with globally recognized Go trainer and author William Kennedy comes to Brno!
This hands-on workshop will occur one day before the Gophercamp.cz conference on Thursday, April 24.
This workshop teaches you how to design and develop production-level software in Go using a domain-driven, data-oriented architecture that runs in Kubernetes. You will code along with the instructor, learning design philosophies and best practices for building maintainable and manageable software systems. The focus is on mastering complexity in growing systems.
What You Will Learn:
Deploy First Mentality: How to design a service for maintainability and manageability in Kubernetes.
Kubernetes: Setting up Kubernetes, creating a Dockerfile, and deploying a service in K8s.
Go Scheduler and Quotas: Applying CPU quotas and optimizing performance with GOMAXPROCS.
Data-Oriented Architecture: Designing a data-oriented architecture with a focus on security and data validation.
Prerequisites:
Experience in coding with Go (several months).
A working Go environment on the device you will bring to the workshop.
