The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum will host a full day photo event on Monday, October 14 from 9:00 AM to approximately 9:30 PM.This unique opportunity offers photographers the chance to capture images of antique streetcars at various areas around the museum. Scenes include a brick-paved street with safety island, an early 1900s trolley station, rustic woodlands, and more. The day will be broken into three sessions (morning, afternoon, sunset/evening) with ample time for lunch and dinner between sessions (off-site, not included). Mobility note: this photo excursion involves getting on an off the streetcar and walking on uneven terrain.
The resulting images will evoke nostalgia and a fondness for days gone by. Photographers will have the opportunity to shoot up to 10 streetcars individually and as part of a scene, with motormen in period-appropriate clothing. Streetcars will be lit after dark with continuous-source LED lights providing time for attendees to photograph each scene from multiple angles.
Photographer Tom Pawlesh will coordinate and light the photo shoot. Tom is a retired airline pilot and widely published wildlife & nature and aviation photographer. Tom volunteers as a vintage streetcar operator and instructor at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum and provides many of the museum's marketing photos.
The price per attendee is $125. Tickets must be purchased in advance - no walk-ups permitted.
