About this Event

Join Us at the Askew School Economic Mobility & Opportunity Summit!

The Askew School of Public Administration and Policy invites you to save the date for a one-day Economic Mobility & Opportunity (EMO) Summit focused on advancing opportunity and upward mobility through collaboration and action.

Economic mobility and opportunity are central to public administration and public policy, shaping how public sector organizations work in partnership with communities, the private sector, and nonprofit organizations to create lasting impact. This Summit will bring together scholars, students, public sector leaders, private sector partners, nonprofit practitioners, and community voices to explore strategies that improve outcomes for individuals, families, and neighborhoods.

The Summit will feature best practices, current research, and lived-experience panels that highlight how cross-sector collaboration translates policy into practice and produces measurable community impact.

We are honored to feature Eddy Moratin, Executive Director of Lift Orlando, as the Summit keynote speaker. Lift Orlando has transformed the historic Parramore and West Lakes communities through a holistic, resident-led approach that integrates mixed-income housing, cradle-to-career education, health and wellness, and expanded economic opportunity.

Join the Summit to learn about best practices and research shaping effective economic mobility and opportunity strategies.

Please RSVP by January 19, 2026.
