Activity details:
The Orchard Project will be running an Orchard Pruning workshop in partnership with the Cardiff Local Nature Partnership and the Wildlife Trust, which will be a hands on learning day which will include a practical session in the Forest Farm Orchard.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about Orchards for people and nature.
In this session you will learn key principles in fruit tree pruning, as well as some history and background into the many species of fruit trees you can find out and about today.
The day will consist of the training session in the morning and then an afternoon of practicing the techniques learnt under the supervision.

What to bring and facilities:
All tools will be provided.
Please bring any drinks and snacks / food for lunch with you.
Please wear sensible shoes (i.e. boots or wellies), wrap up warm, and bring waterproofs. Please bring your own gloves if possible.
There will be toilet facilities on the day.
Transport:
We encourage you to walk, cycle or take public transport to the site. Limited parking at forest farm is available.
